about caroline

Caroline Skirrow graduated with a BSc (First Class Honours) in Nutritional Therapy from the University of Westminster and now runs practices on Harley Street and in Crouch End, where she supports clients to develop sustainable, healthy eating habits to address their individual needs.

Caroline’s passion for nutrition stems from two great childhood loves. Her first, inspired by her mother’s expertise in the kitchen and garden, was cooking, and Caroline had a wooden spoon in her hand as soon as she could walk. Being brought up in a rural village she

was spoilt by the range of fresh foods available and even in her teens had developed into an accomplished cook with an instinctive feel for food. Her second love developed at school when it became clear she had an aptitude and appetite for science, culminating with her completion of a BSc in Pscyhology in the early 1980s.

Caroline went on to embark on a successful a marketing career spanning two decades and involving working for many well know companies at senior level. In 2003, Caroline decided to return to her studies and, given her background Nutritional Therapy, was an obvious choice. In 2006, whilst studying, Caroline worked for leading Nutritionist, Patrick Holford, helping to manage his charity Food for the Brain.

Caroline’s knowledge of nutrition and cooking expertise coupled with her background in psychology, healthcare and communications, gives her a unique set of skills with which to help and encourage clients to make change. She is an articulate and inspiring teacher whose passion for good food and cooking are infectious.

Caroline remains abreast of cutting edge developments in nutrition via attending seminars and reading current scientific research and opinion. She is a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and is registered with Nutritional Therapy Council which regulates Nutritional Therapy.
